In honor of our students and the Class of 2020, the Pleasant Hill School District will be turning our stadium lights on as a symbol of hope and support for all Pleasant Hill students.
We want all of our students to know how important they are to us and we care for each and everyone of them.
Through the month of April, stadium lights will come on school nights at 20:20 military time in honor of 2020 seniors (8:20 pm) and will light up the stadium for one minute of each school day lost during this pandemic. In May and June, the stadium lights will come on Friday Nights.
This is modeled after the Colorado Be the Light Movement. Click on the link below for more information.
Stadium lights across the state are coming on to show support and hope for all students. Schools across the state like Madras, Ontario, Phoenix, Bend, Mt. View, Culver, Corvallis are all participating in support of their students. More schools will be joining with some participating nightly and others participating on just Friday nights throughout the school year.
Here at Pleasant Hill High School we want to say thank you to all of our students, the Class of 2020, and especially our student-athletes who have to date not had a spring sports season.
If you see the stadium lights on you will know that we miss the “Friday Night Lights” and look forward to seeing our students again.
